As you know, CMU is preparing for HLC Reaffirmation of Accreditation in 2023. The website is one of the first tools the accreditation team will use to start their review process. We anticipate that the accreditation team will start visiting the coloradomesa.edu website during the Spring 2023 semester and we’ll use the time leading up to that date to ensure that all areas of the institution are providing accurate and up-to-date information to our students and other stakeholders.
Below is a preliminary list of items to fix/review on your site. At the start of the spring semester, each office/department will need to sign off that their website has been updated.
- Fix all misspellings
- Fix all broken links
- Remove old/unused/duplicate documents
- Reviewing document titles (e.g. updating any that say “Mesa State College”)
- Accessibility issues and overall guidelines
- Departmental contact information accurate
- Faculty and/or staff listings, contact information, bios, titles, etc
- Program listings match what is in 22-23 catalog
- Accreditation language for areas with program-level accreditation
- General accuracy of content
The web team will be sending out more information on how to update each of these items throughout the fall semester. If you have any questions along the way, please reach out to the web team at webmaster@coloradomesa.edu.
Best,
David Ludlam
