Some components within the Custom template utilize icon images. If you're using such a component, you'll need to insert an ID into the text field to populate the icon correctly. To get the correct ID, you'll need to browse our icon library for a pre-built icon.
- Go to https://www.coloradomesa.edu/libraries/svg-outlines/symbols.html to view the icon library
- Choose the icon you want to use for your content
- NOTE: The names (ID) of these icons will NOT show in the content. So don't worry if the name doesn't necessarily match what you're needing... the goal is to choose an icon that closely depicts what you're trying to communicate.
- The icon library includes depictions that can be used in just about every area of the CMU website. If you're having a hard time choosing from the selected list, let us know and we can assist you.
- Click "Copy to clipboard" to copy the ID of the icon you want to use
- Paste the ID into the "Icon" text field
Now, when you preview your content you will see the icon you chose populated into your component.
Note: Icons from our library are only inserted inside specific components and are not available to insert within the WYSIWYG editor or Standard page templates.
