First, check your notifications. We want to make sure that the file actually published. You will want to see this:
This notification tells us that the publish was completed and there were zero issues (so the file was successfully published).
If you do not see the publish message then you need to go back and publish your file.
Next up. If the publish message says it was successful but you don't see your changes then the problem is a caching issue in your browser, which means that the older version was saved in your browser so that it will load faster the next time you visit that file (the same thing will happen with web pages and pretty much any other content on the website). There are three solutions to this:
- Refresh your browser. This should display the updated version of the file. Sometimes files kind of get "stuck" being cached and a simple refresh won't work (continue to the next steps).
- View the file in a different browser. If you just want to be sure that the file was in fact updated, just copy the url and paste it into a different browser that you don't normally use. Since this is mostly likely the first time the page loads in that browser it should load the newest (correct) version.
- Clear your cache. The third option is to clear your cache. The steps for this vary by browser but IT created tutorials for clearing the cache for multiple browsers.
